Former Liverpool centre-back Daniel Agger announced his retirement from football on Thursday at the age of 31. The ex-Brondby defender, who also represented Denmark on 71 occasions, shared the news via Twitter:   Agger spent eight years at Liverpool, having signed for the club in 2006.
